Everyone at Signal was really supportive and I was grateful for help from fellow presenters such as Dave Johnson, Mel Scholes and Doug Wood; but eventually the strain of a day job and an evening job became too much, I had to make a decision - one of them had to go.
I foolishly decided to stick with my day job as the money was better. This proved to be a particularly stupid decision as the spineless twonk who I worked for made me redundant shortly afterwards, but there lies another story.
I continued at Signal through the launch of Signal 2 mainly presenting weekend breakfast, evening and fill-in shows until boxing day 1999 when a change of management effectively made most part - time presenters surplus to requirements.
